The Fabric Workshop and Museum is pleased to announce that Doug Aitken's Plateau is available through the FWM Artist Multiples Program. Plateau, is a photographic composite of a megalopolis of birdhouses assembled from FedEx® boxes designed and constructed by the staff of the FWM to resemble fascist, brutalist and utopian architecture by renowned architects including Mies van der Rohe, Le Corbusier and Buckminster Fuller. Doug Aitken has emerged as a leader in the cinematic rethinking of traditional video and video installation art. In 2002, Aitken collaborated with the FWM to create the critically-acclaimed video installation, Interiors.
