Gallery Guide (part time)

The Fabric Workshop and Museum (FWM), dedicated to creating and exhibiting new work by contemporary artists, seeks part-time Gallery Guides. Ideal for students seeking job experience at one of the world's foremost contemporary art institutions, the Gallery Guide position provides an important service to FWM by greeting visitors and providing general information about the museum and its programs as well as tours of temporary exhibitions and the print studio. Gallery Guides have the dual role of serving as gallery attendant assuring the safety of the works of art while visitors are in the galleries. The position also requires that candidates assist with front desk and museum shop administrative duties and provide general assistance to FWM staff especially in the areas of public relations and development. A background in Art Education, Art History or Museum Studies preferred. Candidates should be articulate, flexible, outgoing, and work well with others.
